Otorimonogatari preview gives vital information

The next installment to the Monogatari anime series, Otorimonogatari (Decoy Story) is beginning to snake its way to fans through previews and the latest one is no exception.

In the latest PV for Otorimonogatari, Nadeko Sengoku returns as the main focus for the Nadeko Medusa arc of the novels. She starts off the preview by giving her vitals and measurements: she has B-type blood, weighs 38 kilograms (give or take) and is only 14 years old.

Of course, she doesn’t give out the measurements that most Monogatari fans are hoping for, though she does seem to have grown since the last time we saw her. The story takes place in the fall, as she sports her winter school uniform and walks by some jack-o-lanterns throughout. She even pulls Senjougahara’s signature head-tilt at one point, giving a nod to the anime that launched the adaptations.

Ride off with the girls of Galilei Donna in new PV

The girls of Galileo Donna will be gracing the airwaves soon for the fall season – and they’ve brought their own ride in the first PV.

We may not know much about the girls just yet, but Ferrari, Ookubo and Kei are already making a lasting impression in the first PV for the upcoming Galileo Donna. Apart from the gun-slinging, punching and rocket-biking, they each carry a mystery with them throughout the trailer. So far we know that in the year 2061, three girls throughout the world have inherited the bloodline of astronomer Galileo Galilee and a slew of baddies are in pursuit of them because of it. The girls are credited as three moons, and the story itself promises to be big. Take a look for yourself and catch the moon fever below.

The show itself will be debuting on October 10, better known as Moe Day to anime fans. Hopefully it’s a show that can add a little extra to the day.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends (Chinese ver.) to launch in Asia alongside PS4 in December 2013

The PlayStation 4 will launch in Asia December 2013 – more than two months before our counterparts in Japan will be getting theirs.

Although most of Asia’s PS4 launch titles are the exact same games you’ll find at the launch of the new console in the US and Europe, at least one PS4 title from a Japanese developer will actually reach gamers in Asia first – due to the differences in launch dates.

I’m referring, of course, to Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends. Koei Tecmo Games have just announced at the SCEJA press conference for Asian media that the Chinese version of the game will launch alongside the PS4 in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan later this year in December.

SCEJA announces new PS Vita model; available in Japan October 10

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia today announced a brand new model of the PlayStation Vita at their pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, which is currently being livestreamed at this link.

The new “series 2000″ (PCH-2000) PS Vita units will come in six available colours (White, Light Blue/White, Light Green/White, Pink/Black, Brown/Black, Black) are 20% thinner at 15mm thick, 15% lighter weighing at 219g, includes 1GB of internal memory storage, and has an improved battery life that’s said to be one hour longer than the previous model.

The new models will go on sale in Japan beginning October 10.

On top of the six colours available, SCEJA also announced Gundam Breaker and God Eater 2 limited edition PS Vita models that will be released alongside the games on October 31 (Gundam Breaker) and November 14 (God Eater 2) respectively.

There will also be limited edition packages for Dangan Ronpa Reload, and Otomate.

Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013: highlights from the press preview [1080p Video]

Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013 is currently underway over at the Jakarta Convention Center!

SGCafe is reporting live from the location (we’re proud to be one of the few English language media outlets to be covering the extravaganza), and over the course of the next several days we will be bringing you lots of photo and video reports, as well as interviews with the artistes performing at the I Love Anisong concerts here at AFA Indonesia.

To kick our AFAID 2013 coverage off, here are a few of the highlights from yesterday’s AFAID 2013 press preview, held at Plaza Senayan mall in Jakarta.

We know that a good number of our readers won’t be able to physically make their way down to Anime Festival Asia Indonesia (if you’re in the Jakarta area, do make your way down), so we’re bringing you the next best thing to actually being there: 1080p video from the press preview.

Anisong artistes Aya Hirano, Eir Aoi and May’n made an appearance at the press preview, as well as AFAID’s guest cosplayers Kaname, Ying Tze, Richfield, and Angie. The line-up for AFAID’s maid and butler cafe was also present.
